Description
The scores written for classic cartoons were masterful tour-de-forces of orchestration, devices, and structure. The sheer number of ideas, characters, emotions, and actions needing to be expressed, combined with the dizzying pace of the beatpoints required nothing less than total mastery of craft and an ability to hold the chaos together structurally. In this class, we’re going to learn the orchestral combinations, colors, and techniques employed, as well as how to change moods instantly without losing focus. We’re also going to look at how to serve up comedy in general – both on the nose, and subtly. This one will be fun, funny, and insanely useful. Class is Friday, June 29th at 7pm PDT. Links and passwords sent 24hrs prior. Don’t miss it!
